WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. — West Lafayette police saw Austin Dean Schultz driving north on U.S. 231 near Cumberland Avenue about 3 p.m. Monday, and attempted to stop him because he was suspected of thefts in the city. Schultz ignored police and continued to drive, tossing what police suspect was a bag of meth from his car window, according to West Lafayette police. Schultz turned eastbound onto Sagamore Parkway West, then led officers on a chase north on Morehouse Road before officers stopped the pursuit.
