Two Benton County residents were killed in a two-vehicle accident in Tippecanoe County Sept. 18. According to information from the Indiana State Police indicate that troopers responded to an accident at 9:30 p.m. on U.S. 52 near County Road 400 West. A preliminary investigation by Trooper Miramontes revealed that a 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee was traveling northbound on County Road 400 West. As the Jeep crossed U.S. 52, a 2005 Pontiac G2 was westbound on U.S. 52. The Jeep struck the driver side of the Pontiac and both vehicles came to rest on the northwest side of the intersection.
